Pet Dog Training
Dog Training Made Simple
Dear Dog Lover,
We all like dogs who behave – dogs who do what we say when we say. Teaching a pet dog to behave appropriately and on command will create a stronger bond between the owner and his pet.
One behavior that is often considered a nuisance and can frequently be dangerous is the dog jumping on guests – or even owners – when they come in the door. Dogs do this to greet people nose-to-nose as they would greet another dog, but if the dog is large or the person is a child or a person who is not stable on their feet, there is a great likelihood of that person being knocked down or injured. Small dogs can be annoying or can scratch the person. People don’t like to visit a home where the dog jumps on them and owners don’t like being knocked down, having things ripped from their hands or arms, or being scratched.
