  1. BLACKDOG

My cat kept escaping the patio area by climbing our wood fence so I decided to give this a try. I was scared it would be too aggressive since this is mainly catered towards dogs, but I was pleasantly surprised with the results. We wired the fence at the top and mid-way to keep him from escaping. He is a big cat, so the collar doesn’t look too goofy on him but if you have a small cat I would imagine it would be a little big. The the most difficult part of setup was having to drill our wall in order to keep the electrical components inside since they are NOT suitable to being outdoors. Other than that, it wasn’t too bad. Everything worked great!

  2. Tony

I have installed this fence before and it works really well. Our installation was a bit challenging due to over grown woods, but we got it done. Took a day or so to fine tune the collar. Now the dog has free rein of the back property and no more expensive fences to deal with. One note, if you have a large aggressive dog, the stubborn dog collar works really well.

The best purchase I have made for my dog in a very long time! I wish I had bought it sooner. We used the indoor radio fence to keep the dogs out of parts of our house. He was already use to the beep warnings and new right away to back up. We wove the wire into a chain link fence that my neighbors on all sides had. Brought it around the front of our home, and through the cement separation in our drive way. It’s very easy to setup!

I no longer have to worry about my little escape artist getting out of my fence. It only took about a week for him to learn the borders. I keep the collar set on medium and tried the shock on myself. Startling but not any more painful than a static shock like you get when wearing wool in the winter.

  5. Bethany

The unit was easy to program and install. Would recommend already owned Invisible Fence by Canine this works as described. Our weimerainer was trained after 1 correction and 3 flags placed out. Walked the property no issues. Do not forget to twist the cable if you do not want the static correction.

  6. Matthew J Barlar

Our new rescue was escaping daily. She chewed through a wooden fence. She learned to climb chain link. She dug under a gate. Finally, we bought and installed this fence. It was easy, because we already had the fence as a guide, and since that slowed our dog down, we didn¡¯t have much training to do. After three days training, she gets it.

  7. S.M.

Super easy to install. Took a few runs for our dogs to understand they couldn¡¯t dig under the fence. They know to stop when they hear the warning sound from the collar. Haven¡¯t had a loose dog, our pack of four mastiffs and one Aussie shep/lab, since we installed this system, +/- six months. One mastiff jumped through it twice when the gate was open; doesn¡¯t dare to get near the fence If the gate is closed. Highly recommend if you have a fence already. Not sure it would be dog proof without something to physically keep them in the yard.

  8. Memissr

This was perfect for our dog who recently decided to start jumping over out 5 foot fence. It took awhile to get set up even with an existing fence. But once it was set up worked very well for our dog. Took him one zap on the lightest setting and took him from being a wild freak on the backyard to a very nice peaceful dog. Money well spent and peace of mind.

  9. Sidian Jones

I have 1 dog it works great for and 1 not so great. No doubt takes time to install and dig- certainly would prefer real fence but this is better than tying dogs out¡ªI always supervise them when they are out there because other animals or people can still enter into their yard

  10. Lori L. Clark

Works really good. Well made. Husband installed the wire to our chain link fence. At first the dog got out of the fence a couple times but adjusted the strength of collar per direction booklet and now our dog is like an angel and never gets out of the fence. Didn’t have to slowly train her like booklet suggested but she is a 50 pound lab mix and learned quickly not to get too close to the fence!

  11. gwendolyn yoho

Terrible fence. Hard to install. If you have any storm, make sure to turn off and unplug transmitter. We did this but still, the fence stopped working after a couple weeks. We tried everything the book said to fix it but nothing has worked. They don¡¯t let you try out the product like they should before closing the return window which really stinks because we spent $200 on this and now they won¡¯t help us at all. I do not recommend this fence to anyone. If a refund is possible from or , please refund even if partial.

  12. Donna Mills

If you are a ham radio operator and are worried about RFI with an invisible fence, this product DOES NOT have any RFI that I have found. My previous device that this replaced was made my Innotek … it created horrible RFI on 40m, 80m, and 160m (worse on lower frequencies) about every 8 kc. Those bands were pretty much unusable if the Innotek device was on.

  13. Steven

As the title states, it’s the best of the lower end fences. Ive had a couple expensive fences and this one has No fancy features but it just works. I have fenced in 2 acres and have it set to 4 out of 10 on the unit and max on the collars and it keeps my goldens in the yard. Collar batteries last about 6 months

  14. Jeanne B.

I hesitated on the idea until I found out what a great value this is to us. Before my dogs got out of the fence twice. Once the youngest was gone for 12 hours before we found him. It was reassuring as we were going on a cruise and this gave us peace of mind.

  15. Rachel

Installed over the weekend. Durable and consistent fence. Dogs understood what shock meant associated with noise. I tried the collar myself on my wrist. On the highest level it wasn’t that bad. Both dogs never yelped. I would buy this product again.

  16. Jayne Ballentine

Very good product. It works on my 50 pound lab. This is our first fence and the only difficult part to figure out was the level to set the shock/vibration to.

Update: it¡¯s been 4 years and it still works amazingly!! I have added other sections of wire over the years to block off new landscaping to keep the dogs from marking it or digging etc. It is still going great no problems at all. We love it! (In the second picture our black giant schnauzer wants to get our cat that¡¯s lounging in the rose bushes but he knows he will get shocked so he doesn¡¯t go any further.Original Review:Here is my situation … I was using the WIRELESS fence system for almost 2 years with my two dogs (mini schnauzer and giant schnauzer) and it was working for them wonderfully. However, I began to realize it would be better if I could control more specific areas they were allowed to go in (that system just does a circle). For example, they were messing up my mulch in my flower bed and pooping right in my driveway where we park our cars (always nice when people would come over and have to dodge giant piles of doo) So I called and they assured me the shock levels would be the same as the wireless so I should not need a “stubborn dog” system. I was able to run approximately 850′ of wire (I bought another 500′ spool additional to the one that comes with this set) in a matter of a few hours really. I’m a 33 year old woman and I had my 12 year old son help. After laying it all out in our desired pattern, he used the shovel to just lift up small sections of the sod and I was on my hands and knees tucking it under. We did 200′ one evening and the knocked the rest out in a couple hours the next afternoon. It was pretty easy depending on the type of soil. I would recommend mowing before installing (I did not and wished I would have). My dogs have picked up on their new boundaries very quickly and I’m very pleased so far. My friend warned me to make sure I get it all buried right away because breaks in the rope can happen very easily if just left out (kids trip over it, car, tractor, mower runs it over etc). With this system I was actually able to give my dogs more area to roam and section off areas I didn’t want them in so it’s a win-win situation. Plus this system (even with my extra spool and extra collar) was cheaper than the wireless one. Wish I would have done this in the first place.

  18. Hunter mowell

I have a big front yard and I don’t like to leave my dogs in the front because they like to dig into my neighbors yard, this baby makes sure they keep them away from the fence line and happy in the big yard to run in.

  19. maritza ouellette

I installed this fence in November 2016. Very easy to set up, no problems at all running for the past year. I added a second roll of wire with a total perimeter length of about 500ft plus another 100-150ft of coiled wire to come back in to the power source. works with regular pet-safe collars

  20. R. Talley

Easier with 2 people but I did it myself. Wire is thin but weaved thru my existing fence, I have had it about a month and yard guy cut line. Easy to fix. Works very well and dog learned boundaries in a few days as instructed.

  21. James and Mary

We have a Houdini dog. This fence and the collar keep her in the yard when nothing else could.

  22. Dave

This worked awesome! My dog was constantly trying to dig under the fence. I installed the basic in ground fence and with about 20 minutes of training on the first day, she quit trying to dig under the fence. The item is very effective! The only negative point I have is that the transmitter has to be inside, it makes it a little difficult to run the wires into the house.Overall a great product!

  23. Kindle Customer

Great deal! Much better prices than the big box stores.System works like fence installed by pros. Simple, cost-effective, and works! Don’t know why others had difficulty. Just follow directions, take your time when installing, and don’t cut corners to save time or effort.

  24. Trinidad Duenas

Keeps my dog in the yard! We have a pretty energetic lab mix who kept going under our chain link fence we ran the electric fence next to the chain link fence trained him for a few weeks and he hasn’t gotten out of the yard since!

  25. David Miller

Bought to replace my Invisible Fence Brand. It was easy to install & I was able to use the heavy duty wire that I recently replaced on the Invisible Fence Brand. would recommend over the Invisible Fence

  26. Becky G.

I love this. It¡¯s so much simpler easier on the bank than trying to install a physical fence. My pup minded the boundary the first day!

  27. Antoinette Marie

Our dog was jumping our fence but now he stays in.

  28. Joel Zatell

So far the fence is working great. It saved us a tremendous amount of money.

  29. farm girl

MY German Shepherd doesnt try to jump the fence anymore. Thanks

  30. Marlee Monson

I was skeptical at first. But this is the best underground DIY fence on the market. Easy to install and have had it for 3 years bod-eeee with no problems. Even bought my son one for his bully pit. Works great. Haven’t had one issue with it.

  31. Morgan W.

Is an in-ground fence ever easy to install? No. But it works like a charm. I have a 70lb. Pit bull and she wants nothing to do with the boundary so no issues here. Good price and pretty straight forward setup.

  32. Breanna Strickland

Keeping my dogs in but only if they are behind a fence with it. They are hard headed and will take the shock for freedom, but has fixed my problems with them digging out.

  33. blugrasruls

So far so Great. We used a trencher to install the Wire. We have about 1.5 acres aND it worked like a charm. My husband had the fence up and running in about 4 hours. Our Lab took to the fence very quickly. Follow the training guide. They give step by step instructions on how to help you dog learn the boundaries, etc. This worked and saved us lots of $$$ when compared to the companies that do the work for you.

  34. Laree K.

Circuit working thus far. Haven’t tried dogs there yet but they are already used to wireless fence/colars so hoping for smooth transition.

  35. Julia

Went thru 2 other chinese knock-offs before I threw some serious cash at this. This is DEFINATELY one of those its that are “Ya get what ya pay for”. I am very pleased with this pet fence. Only thing that could be better is the collar itself.

  36. Loretta

I bought this for my 15 week old boarder collie. It does the job, however he is a spunky, hyper dog and will run through if he decides whats on the other side is worth the pain (only for cats, not even food, just cats). It does shock him, so it is not the fence. It does not continue to shock once they have crossed the fence, so if you have a dog that may decide the pain is worth getting across, then you may want to get the more expensive one.

  37. nicole mata

ONLY thing that stopped my dog from digging!! Life saver, he only went up the fence once and doesn’t get close to it anymore unless he’s trying to run the fence with my other dog sometimes he’ll get an occasional buzz

  38. Jason Acosta

I love the fence. I think it’s well built and installed easily. All the parts are of good quality. I think it was well worth the money. I see there were some negative comments about this device’s quality? I wonder why that would be. Perhaps some of it could be the installers. The instructions are pretty clear. I work with low voltage gadgets all the time at my job, but still there where a couple things I had to stop and think about.Best of all it made a believer out of my pup. No more stress about her getting out on the street.

  39. Kim

Very much worth the money product work with no training in one day. Prevent my very young and agile boxer from jumping 2000 feet of property fence. She has not left her yard since

  40. Sara Degroff

This fence has changed our life. Our high energy GSP was terrorizing the neighbors and running into the busy street a 1/4 mile down our driveway. We live on acreage but she always wanted to go onto the neighbors property looking for bunnies and deer, but would occasionally go after the neighbor dog as well. It was only a matter of time before something bad would going to happen. We mapped out about an acre surrounding our house to give her lots of room to run. We followed the instructions and was nervous to finally let her off her leash, but after getting zapped a handful of times over the next couple days by testing her boundaries, she now knows her reign of terror is over. Our stress level has been significantly reduced, and she’s become a much better dog by interacting more with us and spending less time running rampant.

  41. Ricky Brune

Works like one of those hard core country electric fence like you see out in the….. country. My dog is wand tighter than a eight day clock. She could dig her way out of the back yard lickety-split. Not any more my friends. I’m a happy camper.

  42. Samantha

Works great! I have a fenced in yard, so didn’t need to bury the wire. But now my huge dog no longer digs out, jumps over, or chews his way out! Love it!

  43. Grey Pelkey

My husband installed this fence easily. Our dog learned quickly where the boundaries are and we have no issues letting him outside now. We were able to get rid of the flags after only a month, probably could have done it sooner, but we wanted to make sure he knew his boundary. Our dog was still a puppy, about 7-8 months old when we started training him. He learned really fast and we didn’t have any problems training him. The instruction booklet that comes with the fence gave some great information on how to properly train your dog.

  44. Kelly Draper

This fence works very well on my 20lb terrier. It took him about two weeks to figure out were the fence was.I have the collar set on three.(one is just noise only). I have boundary distance to the fence set on about 12 feet.I can just say now i can let him out the back door with little or no worries of him running off. Without this fence he would not stay home at all.I did buy an extra 500′ roll of wire. I made a big circle around the house. When I ran it under my gravel driveway i split an old garden hose and placed the wire inside and down about 3-4″. I have had it installed and working for about a month. I am very happy with it.’

  45. Ademar Costa

Our nephew installed the fence in 4 hours around the parameter of the house and had our dogs trained in less than a week.Sometimes we forget to put the collar on and they know their parameters and don¡¯t cross over the wire. Great value for the money!!! Very satisfied!
